Never underestimate your presence at church

Your presence is important to God.

Never underestimate the power that your presence has at Church.

Your face, your smile.

The position you are sitting in.

The people whom you will talk to.

The hugs that you will give and the hands that you will shake.

The words of encouragement that you will speak to those you encounter.

Your unique individuality, gifts and talents that you bring to the body of Christ are invaluable and important to God.

Never underestimate the power that your presence has at Church.

The true power of presence is your connection with the living Creator.

In worship, surrendered before the awe of God,

With arms open,

Hearts tender and expectant,

Our anxieties and worries, our deepest hurts and our most painful secrets are now accessible to experience his wonderful,

Never stopping,

Never giving up,

Unbreaking,

Always and Forever love. (The Jesus Storybook Bible)

And from this place, our deepest desires and our wildest dreams are open to God,

Our Creator

Our Mountain Mover

Our Promise Keeper

To whom Nothing is Impossible God, to act.

Is there some dream or desire that surfaces and becomes more noticeable in heart abandoned worship?

This may be God confirming his Great Will and promise inside you, aligning to your gifts, talents and opportunities that lay in front of you.

This could be your true purpose, your great why?

Clear and open, as your anxiety, sin and apprehension is power washed away.

Never underestimate the power that your presence has at church.

But the Devil is crafty, unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

He may think that he is clever and for the most part, to the unaware, he may be.

His plan is to keep us from the God-revelation that awaits in our heart-abandoned worship.

His plans are to keep our presence away from church.

To remove our smile.

To steal our joy.

To take our words of encouragement, from our mouth and twist it into destruction.

Never underestimate the power that your presence has at church.

But to God-followers and believers, Evil stands NO CHANCE.

His attack is predictable, it always has been.

As believers we will face the greatest spiritual attack at the point of decision we make to come to church.

For some it begins on Saturday night, an extra show, another drink, just another hour or two spent relaxing with loved ones.

For others it is serene peace that our beds and homes provide in the quiet of Sunday morning.

For me, it always been the projects that need completion, study that needs to be done and introvert that dislikes public outings.

But more sinister than that is the spiritual thought warfare that Evil brings.

Unseen and unprovoked negativity is Evil’s bread and butter.

I’ve never know such furious attack since becoming a leader at our church.

It is relentless and unforgiving.

But in obedience and submission to my Great God, I fight this predictable enemy with weapons he has no answer for, the unshakeable word and promises of God.

His victory over sin and death.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Nothing.

So on this day,

Fight the good fight and

Never underestimate the power of your presence at church today.

p/s this piece was inspired by one of our senior pastors today at church. I fought negativity hard today. Praise God for victory! In your face Evil

Live intentionally

Love relentlessly

Enjoy your health
